Owners (Ellen and Paul)
I (Ellen) grew up on Dartmoor begging and borrowing ponies for most of my childhood before leaving for Birmingham University to get a degree in English and Media Studies. I then joined the BBC in London as a producer, director and script editor (and BBC riding club competitor). After six years in London I came home and married Paul. Shortly after we bought Goodmerry Farm and have lived here for 7 years, during which time I have owned 3 horses, competed several others and run a DIY livery yard for, at times, a total of ten horses. Paul returned to farming after gaining an engineering degree from Leeds University. He administers the farm’s production of hay, haylage and straw, and cereals.
